Have you asked yourself why you need to memorize scripture?

Why should you take the time to remember verses written by people centuries ago?

One powerful reason: Because Jesus Himself memorized scripture.

In Matthew 4:1-11, Jesus was tested in the wilderness by the devil himself.

Three times. The devil spun his lies towards Jesus.

Three times. Jesus countered. Not with sword. But with Scripture.

Devil: "If you are the Son of God, tell these stones to become bread."

Jesus: "It is written: ‘Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.” (Deuteronomy 8:3)

Devil: “Throw yourself down. For it is written: “He will command his angels concerning you, and they will lift you up in their hands, so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.”

Jesus answered: “It is also written: ‘Do not put the Lord your God to the test.’” (Deuteronomy 6:16)

Devil: "All this I will give you,” he said, “if you will bow down and worship me.”

Jesus: “Away from me, Satan! For it is written: ‘Worship the Lord your God, and serve him only.’” (Deuteronomy 6:13)

Jesus Christ deflected the schemes of the enemy. He knew His Bible verses.

This gives us more reason to not just read but meditate on God’s word. The devil does not stop at nothing to throw us off.

If we are empowered with the Word of God, we can counter attack every blow.

If Jesus Christ memorized the scriptures, why not you? What’s your excuse?

I FAST (saya berpuasa)

Matius 9:16 "Tidak seorangpun menambalkan secarik kain yang belum susut pada baju yang tua, karena jika demikian kain penambal itu akan mencabik baju itu, lalu makin besarlah koyaknya."

Tujuan puasa bukan untuk menambal kekurangan kita, bukan supaya kita tambah sukses dan berhasil, bukan juga membuat kita tambah sakti dan berkuasa.

Puasa tidak akan mengubah ukuran kuasa Tuhan tapi puasa mengubah pribadi kita, jadi puasa adalah proses penyusutan daging untuk mengurangi ego kita.

Melalui puasa pelanggaran dosa favorit dan hawa nafsu akan menyusut diubah oleh Tuhan menjadi hati yang baru, untuk memulihkan perkawinan yang koyak, keluarga yang koyak, keuangan yang koyak.

Kalau berpuasa itu baik mengapa saudara dan saya tidak berpuasa. Yuk mari kita berpuasa paling tidak 1 (satu) kali seminggu. Pasti akan mendatangkan kebaikan dalam hidup.
